By downloading, installing, or using ALI Edge (“the Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License

ALI Edge is released under the MIT License. You are free to:

  • Use the Software for any purpose (personal, commercial, educational)
  • Modify and distribute the source code
  • Create derivative works

The full license text is included with the Software and available in the source repository.

3. AI Models

ALI Edge bundles AI models that are subject to their own licenses:

  • Qwen 2.5 models: Subject to the Qwen License Agreement by Alibaba Cloud

You are responsible for complying with the respective model licenses when using the Software.

4. No Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You are solely responsible for evaluating and using any output from the Software.

5. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

6. Responsible Use

You agree to use ALI Edge responsibly. You shall not:

  • Use the Software to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content
  • Represent AI-generated output as human-authored where disclosure is required
  • Use the Software in ways that violate applicable laws or regulations

7. Privacy

ALI Edge processes all data locally on your device. No data is collected or transmitted. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. System Modifications

Certain optional features may modify system configuration:

  • DNS setup: May add entries to /etc/hosts and configure port forwarding (requires explicit user action and admin privileges)

These changes can be reversed using the provided removal tools.

9. Updates

ALI Edge does not auto-update. You choose when to download and install new versions. These Terms may be updated with new releases.

10. Termination

You may stop using ALI Edge at any time by uninstalling the Software. Uninstalling removes all local data stored by the application.
